Informational report

For the past few weeks in writing Te Ngahere has been writing about their chosen country. We were learning to write informational reports. We had to choose a country we wanted to write about and have three subtopics. My country was Australia so my three  subtopics were The first person on the 50 dollar note, sports in Australia and Animals in Australia.

 Australia

WALT write an informational report about Australia

Did you know that there is about 24.13 million people Australia? Keep reading if you would like to learn more about the value  of money, the kind of sport that they play and the different animals and more about Australia.

In Australia there are different value  of money like  5$, 10$, 20$, 50$ and 100$ dollar notes and coins come in 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents.

The first ever person on the Australian 100$ note was Dame Nellie Melba and she  was on there from ( 1861 - 1931 ) and then it went to General Sir John Monash and he was on there from ( 1965 - 1931).
The first ever person on the 50$ note was David Cow and he on it from ( 1872 - 1967 ). Then it was the first female, Edith Cowan ( 1861- 1937).

The sport that is most popular in Australia is very different to other sports in the world. The sport that is most popular is AFL and that is Australian Rules Football. A bit about AFL The field you play on is a Circle with lines all over it. The Rules are that you have to kick the ball to get a try. It is a bit like rugby but you are allowed to dump them and do more dangerous things.

The largest kangaroo is a red kangaroo the red kangaroo is the only one that can swim. And did you know that there was about  34,303,677 in 2011 so that means that there is like 4x that WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

                                        ( Conclusion )
Australian has lots of amazing activities and places to go see and have fun. New Zealanders go to Australia to explore different kinds of animals and cultures also to see interesting things.
